Hair trends for 2010

There appears to be only six big hair trends for this season, each however packs a punch and offers the perfect style for either a major event or alternatively a Christmas party.

The six must-create hairstyles range in era from the 18th century, which regard a lot of textured styles to a nineties-inspired grunge look, all however echo a grown-up style with a womanly twist. It appears that the “girly and playful” styles of past seasons’ have blossomed into that of a real woman, however, they have all retained that certain sense of humour and originality.

When it comes to texture, the king of fashion Marc Jacobs was at the forefront of such a style, the designer used the help of hair guru Guido Palau, who created a total of 65 different shapes. He worked an assortment of texture in order to pay tribute to the 80s club girls.

Over at Prada, 40s land girls were the main inspiration for the catwalk show and offered a look created in a softly structured barrel of frizzy locks, while over at Jean Paul Gaultier dry, matte lengths were piled high on heads in sculpted, sky-high structures.
